3D Modeling

Protogojin - Atlantic College (click for larger version)

Original Concept Art and 3D Model. This shows how close the 3D model stayed to the concept art. It is shown without any smoothing. I did all the modeling and textures. I also painted the concept art. Original sketch was drawn by my colleague, Jesus Flores.

Merchant Orc (Low-Poly Character) - Blizzard Art Contest 2006
The goal was to model a low-poly game character based on the Warcraft universe.
I wanted a non-battle character, so I designed an Orc business owner. His company trades in explosives but he had an unfortunate accident. His goblin employees rebuilt part of him and even though the accident was their fault, he doesn't hold a grudge against them. He is noble and hard-working, as we can tell from his medals. Galaxy Lanes "Quark"
Quark Model Renders Quark Model Wireframe
This is a polygon model I built for the Galaxy Lanes Bowling Alley. I tried to make the model as efficient as possible. In the rendered version, I have applied a smoothing. I also tried to simulate Global Illumination by painting detailed shading directly in the textures. To see him in motion, please look at the Character Animation page. I also rigged and edited the motion capture for this model. (Maya, Photoshop) Atlantic College

Don Q "New Bottle" World

DonQ_conceptDonQ_concept

Renders from the Don Q "New Bottle" TV Commercial. I wanted to create something artistic, like a painting. While conceptualizing the world-view that the bottle would be in, I came up with the idea of using crystals, since it is Don Q "Cristal". The crystals are made up of the same elements as the bottle and they recognize it as part of their own when they glow as the bottle is created. As it ends, the bottle creates a halo that is unique to crystals when placed against the sun. It's all in the little details.
